NEW: 3 LIONS CROWNED D2 CHAMPIONS AFTER DEFEATING 2CASUALS 3-1

The longest season in the history of the Colorado Springs Soccer Club (probably!) final reached it's conclusion when 3 Lions F.C. defeated 2Casuals, 3-1.  

 

However, we did it the hard way with a forgettable first half performance rightfully seeing us 1-0 down at the break. Just about the only player who could hold his head up after the first 45 was keeper Kevin Ridenour, who truly kept us in it with some huge saves!

 

Second half, after a home-truths half-time team talk from John Dembiczak, the Lions came out swinging! A fantastic equalizer from Nick Odil took us in to extra time, where Nick popped up again with a magnificent header, before Kelly Robinson's cool solo effort late on ensured the victory!

 

A perfect season in more ways than one. All wins, but more than that, a superb way to spend a spring playing football with some of the best guys I've ever had the privilege of taking to the field with. Now, to Vail...
